#vss “The grass might not be greener on this side of the fence, but maybe I prefer sleeping in the weeds,” said the mole-rat.
#vss The Filipino Butt Monkey was neither Filipino nor monkey, but rather one of a series of invectives hurled my way by the crazed homeless woman with wiry gray hair and garbage bags for pants. She was still yelling at me and flailing her arms as she boarded the bus, much to the muted alarm of the other passengers.
I decided to hang back and wait to catch the next one.
Iím not sure why she went off the way she did. Crazy homeless people….what can ya do? All I know is that the attractive blonde who was sitting off to the side with her boyfriend couldnít stop laughing.
Some of my Twitter flash fiction (or #vss stories, as they’re called) made it into this anthology. Shout out to Brent Millis for taking the time to put this together.
